Professional Communications
Even really smart people need someone to explain things to them. So I regularly write newsletters for physicians about the latest advances in medical research. I've even written articles for attorneys explaining the long-term risks of personal injuries. (If they're going to chase ambulances, they might as well know what to do when they catch one.)
Physician's Bulletin: Medical News for Doctors
As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, City of Hope has a mandate to communicate with and educate community physicians. I have written many issues of Physician's Bulletin for this outstanding organization, and I really like the fact that it benefits all parties: Doctors get information about new breakthroughs, patients get referrals to one of the world's best cancer centers, and City of Hope gets new participants for its active program of clincal trials.

The Gavel: Medical Articles for Lawyers
Like it or not, injuries happen. And when they do, victims need to be protected--both immediately and over the long term. Attorneys need to fully understand the extent of their client's medical case, especially when inuries involve damage to the hand, which can literally ruin a person's career. I wrote these articles for a hand surgeon explaining how best to deal with an injured patient so that their long-term hand health--and their financial compensation--have a chance at the best possible outcome.
